What is a Hot Penis?

A burning sensation in any part of the body can be uncomfortable and even more if it's in the groin area. The burning sensation in your penis while urinating and maybe alongside other symptoms is what is known as Hot Penis. There are multiple infections and diseases that can cause a hot penis. Some of the times the burning sensation is caused by an inflammation of the glands, but the most common reason is an allergic reaction from the friction of your underwear, although there are situations in which this inflammation can be a sign of a more serious problem, like an infection or an STI. The burning sensation can also happen only with urinating; this is usually related to a UTI.

Here are 4 reasons for a hot penis:

  1. Friction from underwear

Due to the increased heat and humidity in your private area during the summer, you can feel a burning sensation without any other symptoms. It can be more prevalent for those who choose underwear made from synthetic materials.

How to fix it: The solution to underwear friction is to make sure you wear good quality cotton underwear or materials that are breathable and would not allow sweat to accumulate. Maintaining intimate hygiene is also equally important. Using soap can be harmful to your intimates. Make sure you use a good quality intimate wash for men that will remove the accumulated sweat and dirt and keep your privates clean and fresh during the hot season.

  1. Friction during intercourse

Although very similar to friction caused by underwear, the burning sensation after masturbation or sexual intercourse occurs due to inadequate lubrication. This problem can affect almost all men. Other than burning, some common symptoms include redness and swelling of the penis.

How to fix it: Ideally, lubrication should always be used during sexual contact or masturbation, especially if a condom isn’t used. Maintaining proper hygiene pre and post-sexual intercourse is extremely important. Using a men’s intimate wash prior to intercourse will definitely make the mood better and using a v wash for men post-sex will make sure no germs and residuals from condoms and lubricants stay back.

  1. Allergic reaction

Wearing underwear with synthetic fabric can also result in an allergy and cause a burning sensation. Using regular soaps and shower gels in your intimate area can cause an allergic reaction. Soaps that are made with added chemicals can disrupt the pH balance of your intimates and that can cause the infection bacteria to grow in your privates.

How to fix it: Make sure you use a men’s intimate wash that is made of natural ingredients and suits you and your needs. Sometimes our skin develops allergies from the detergent that we use to wash our clothes. So make sure you keep an eye out for that.

  1. STI

A burning sensation in the penis is one of the most common symptoms of any sexually transmitted infection. Common infections that can cause burning include herpes, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. It's possible for other symptoms such as redness, lesions, and pus to also show up.

How to fix it: There are no home remedies to treat STIs. You need to go see your doctor and he will provide you with a treatment suitable for the infection.

A men’s intimate wash is made to treat itch, irritation, and dryness of the intimate area. A wash that is made with natural ingredients and does not have any added fragrance is what you need to include in your daily shower routine.
